Chips & capabilities

The smart chip that makes a product prove it’s real.

Aeroz builds NFC and RFID smart chips that give every unit an un-cloneable identity and a verifiable digital record — the physical anchor for anti-counterfeit, track-and-trace, and the Digital Product Passport. Five editions, one system, on top of the serialization stack you already run.

Pick the chip to the job.

Aeroz Verify, Trace, Duo, Guard, and Sense — the same trusted identity in a different form: tap-to-verify, read-at-range, paired, tamper-evident, or sensor-enabled. Each card opens to a connection diagram, how we use it, and the mandates it serves.

Aeroz Verify

NFC · 13.56 MHz · tap to authenticate An NFC smart chip embedded in the label, cap, or package. Any modern smartphone taps it — no app required — to confirm the product is genuine and surface its story.
Phone tapany smartphoneAeroz Verifybound chip identityAeroz checkinstant verifyGenuinepass / failA copied code or cloned label fails — only the bound chip verifies as genuine.
How we use it

We use the Verify Edition as the point-of-truth: the moment a consumer, pharmacist, inspector, or patient needs to know an item is real. Each chip carries a cryptographic, unit-level identity, so a copied code or cloned label fails verification.

Best for
  • Anti-counterfeit at the shelf, bedside, or border
  • Consumer engagement and product registration
  • Pharmacy and inspector verification

Aeroz Trace

UHF RFID · 860–960 MHz · read at range A UHF RFID smart tag read at distance and in bulk — hundreds of items in a single sweep, with no line of sight required.
UHF readerread at rangeTagged unitshundreds at onceEPCIS eventscustody logOne sweep reads hundreds of units at distance — no line of sight, custody auto-logged.
How we use it

We use the Trace Edition to move product fast and capture custody automatically: dock-door reads, room-level inventory, and shipping and receiving events written straight to the traceability record.

Best for
  • High-speed warehouse and inventory counts
  • Automatic shipping / receiving custody events
  • Case, pallet, and room-level tracking

Aeroz Duo

NFC + UHF paired · one bound identity Our flagship: both radios — NFC and UHF RFID — carried on a single, bound identity. We call it the unbreakable pair.
Aeroz Duopaired NFC + UHFOne identitycross-verifiedBackend matchtwo radios agreeNFCUHFBoth radios attest to the same unit — cloning one is never enough.
How we use it

We use the Dual-Frequency Edition for end-to-end coverage: UHF moves the product at logistics speed while NFC delivers point-of-use authentication on the very same unit. The two radios cross-check each other and the backend record, so defeating one is not enough.

Best for
  • End-to-end authentication and traceability on one unit
  • High-value goods that need both speed and proof
  • Programs that span the warehouse and the shelf

Aeroz Guard

Tamper-evident · first-open detection An authentication chip built into a tamper-evident seal that detects opening or removal and permanently changes state.
SealedintactOpenedseal brokenVOIDVOID loggedto custody recordA broken seal reads VOID on the next scan and is written to the custody record.
How we use it

We use the Guard Edition to prove a package has not been opened or refilled: a broken seal shows as VOID on the next scan, and the event is logged to the product's custody record.

Best for
  • Tamper-evidence for pharma, spirits, and cartons
  • First-open detection and refill defense
  • Controlled and high-diversion goods

Aeroz Sense

Sensor-enabled · cold-chain & conditions A sensor-enabled smart chip that records conditions such as temperature alongside the product's identity.
Aeroz Sensecondition tagCold chainlogged end-to-endExcursionauto-quarantineTemperature is logged the whole way; an excursion flags and quarantines the unit.
How we use it

We use the Sense Edition to prove the cold chain held: it captures exposure over the journey and flags excursions, so a compromised unit can be quarantined before it reaches a patient or shelf.

Best for
  • Cold-chain proof for vaccines, biologics, and specialty pharma
  • Temperature-sensitive food and beverage
  • Condition-based quality and quarantine decisions

What the system does

From a chip to a capability.

The chip is the anchor; the Aeroz platform turns it into outcomes you can build a program around. Expand any capability.

Authenticate every unit

Give each item an identity that cannot be copied, and let anyone confirm it in a second.
  • Un-cloneable, unit-level identity bound to the physical product
  • Tap-to-verify for consumers, staff, inspectors, and patients
  • Suspect-product handling and instant genuine / not-genuine answers

Track and trace end to end

Follow every unit from line to last mile, with an audit-defensible record of custody.
  • Serialized identity (GS1) with a resolvable Digital Link
  • Append-only custody events at every handoff (EPCIS 2.0)
  • Aggregation from item to kit to case to pallet

Protect and prove integrity

Show the package is intact and act fast when something is wrong.
  • Tamper-evidence and VOID-on-break seals
  • Chain-of-custody proof for audits and disputes
  • Recall and market-withdrawal in seconds, down to the unit

Engage customers and patients

Turn the tap into a first-party relationship and a data signal you own.
  • Product registration, warranty, loyalty, and re-order
  • Adherence, refill, and genuine-medicine checks for patients
  • First-party scan analytics and grey-market / diversion signal

Meet the mandates

One anchor that satisfies the regulations landing across your markets.
  • US DSCSA (§582) unit-level traceability and verification
  • EU Digital Product Passport (ESPR) and the EU Battery Passport

Common questions

NFC, RFID, and the chip, explained.

What is the difference between NFC and RFID for product authentication?

NFC (13.56 MHz) is a short-range, phone-tappable read — ideal for a person confirming one item is genuine. UHF RFID (860–960 MHz) reads many items at a distance — ideal for logistics and inventory. Aeroz can deliver either, or both on one bound identity (our Dual-Frequency Edition), so you get authentication and track-and-trace from the same chip.

Can one chip do both NFC and RFID?

Yes. The Aeroz Dual-Frequency Edition carries both an NFC and a UHF RFID radio on a single, bound identity. The two radios cross-verify each other and the backend record, which is far harder to defeat than either alone.

Does it work with GS1 and the Digital Product Passport?

Yes. Aeroz is standards-first: GS1 Digital Link and DataMatrix, EPCIS 2.0, the UN Transparency Protocol, W3C Verifiable Credentials, and the EU Central DPP Registry. The chip is the physical anchor that makes a Digital Product Passport verifiable rather than copyable.

How does a smart chip stop counterfeits?

Each Aeroz chip carries a cryptographic, unit-level identity that is bound to the physical item. A counterfeiter can copy a printed code or a label image, but the copy fails verification because it is not the genuine, bound chip. Tamper-evident editions add proof that the package has not been opened or refilled.

Which Aeroz chip do I need for DSCSA, the EU Digital Product Passport, or cold chain?

Aeroz Verify covers DSCSA verification, EU FMD, and Tatmeen authentication; Aeroz Trace covers DSCSA package-level tracing, EPCIS 2.0, and FSMA 204; Aeroz Duo (paired NFC + UHF) covers the end-to-end picture including the EU Digital Product Passport, the EU Battery Passport, and UNTP; Aeroz Guard adds EU FMD anti-tampering and suspect-product handling; and Aeroz Sense adds GDP cold-chain and temperature records. A short audit maps your products and mandates to the right one.
